Full Job Description
About the Role

This role owns the core systems and processes that make sure Enterprise New Verticals merchants are billed, taxed, and paid accurately and consistently. You will sit at the intersection of product, finance, tax, and go-to-market teams to translate merchant needs into product requirements and operational workflows, and to make sure changes land cleanly for the field. In your first months, you will learn our current fee, tax, and payout structures, take over key recurring workflows, and then lead improvements that reduce issues and improve clarity for merchants and internal teams. Over time, you will shape how we launch and iterate on merchant-facing features that affect money flows in New Verticals.

You will report into the Senior Manager, Enterprise New Verticals on our New Verticals Onboarding & Excellence team in our Merchant Strategy and Operations organization.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will...
  • Lead key workflows for merchant fees, billing, payouts, and tax application for U.S. Enterprise New Verticals merchants, with consideration for global enterprise merchants.
  • Own the Merchant Finance Product Roadmap, acting as the Product Operations partner and voice of the New Verticals merchant in product prioritization discussions related to invoicing, tax, and payouts.
  • Design and improve processes and products to triage and resolve payment, invoicing, and tax issues, including clear ownership, routing, and escalation paths.
  • Support product builds from idea to launch with business cases, success metrics, and rollout plans for merchant-facing changes.
  • Create and maintain clear internal documentation and communications so Partner Managers and downstream Accounting and Support teams can explain changes and handle questions from merchants.
We're excited about you because...
  • You have 5-10 years of experience in strategy and operations, business operations, consulting, product operations, or similar analytical roles.
  • You are comfortable working with financial concepts like pricing, fees, discounts, taxes, and payouts, and partnering closely with finance and tax teams.
  • You can structure ambiguous merchant or payment problems, work across teams to find root causes, and drive a clear plan to fix them (or use AI to fix the issue yourself).
  • You can work with data (for example in spreadsheets or SQL) to size problems, build simple models, and track performance of your work.
  • You communicate clearly in writing and in meetings, and you can explain complex topics in simple, direct language to different audiences.
  • You have experience leading and influencing multiple teams and senior leadership through complex, highly-cross-functional projects.

Applications for this position are accepted on an ongoing basis.
