Full Job Description
KPMG is currently seeking an Associate, M&A Tax to join our Mergers & Acquisitions practice.

Responsibilities:
  • Advise clients on mergers and acquisitions tax matters, including due diligence, transaction structuring, modeling, planning, and post-transaction integration activities
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of tax, finance, legal, data, and technology professionals to deliver client solutions throughout the transaction lifecycle
  • Utilize AI-enabled tools, data analytics, and firm technologies to support research, identify tax risks and opportunities, and enhance the efficiency and quality of client deliverables
  • Analyze complex tax, financial, and operational information to develop insights and recommendations that support client decision-making
  • Partner with client finance, accounting, and tax teams to gather and evaluate information necessary to assess transaction-related tax implications and risks
  • Contribute to innovation initiatives by identifying process improvement opportunities, supporting technology adoption, and helping develop scalable solutions that enhance service delivery
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment


Qualifications:
  • Minimum one year of recent experience in taxation, accounting, finance, economics, legal services, data analytics, or a related field; experience supporting merger and acquisition engagements, including due diligence, transaction structuring, tax modeling, or related transaction or tax advisory services, is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required; MST, JD, or LL.M. in Taxation preferred
  • Knowledge of corporate tax, accounting, finance, economics, or transaction advisory concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, identify issues, and develop practical business-oriented recommendations
  • Interest in emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and innovative approaches to client service delivery
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Strong research, written communication, and presentation skills
