DescriptionNorthrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has opportunities for an Associate Guidance Navigation Control Engineer OR Guidance Navigation Control Engineer to join our team in San Diego, CA!
Duties Include:
- Designs, develops, implements, verifies, and tests algorithms and software and simulation tools to perform guidance, navigation and control of aircraft
- Statistical processing of measured data points and their substitution into algorithms simulating physical reality.
- Formulation of specific equations to achieve a desired position, orientation, or orbit.
- Control design and analyses processes consist of the development of the control laws and hardware and software requirements for aircraft.
This position can be filled at either the Associate GNC Engineer level or the GNC Engineer level, depending upon the qualifications below.
Basic Qualifications for Associate GNC Engineer:
- Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline with 0 years of related engineering experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP). This SAP must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Basic Qualifications for GNC Engineer:
- Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline with 2 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master of Science degree in a relevant STEM discipline with 0 years of related engineering experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP). This SAP must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Preferred Qualifications for both levels:
- Active US Government Secret clearance
Primary Level Salary Range: $76,200.00 - $114,400.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $91,800.00 - $137,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
