Full Job Description

The Associate General Counsel, Director is a member of the legal department who is a critical thinker

who provides legal counsel to support the company’s customer contract negotiations, vendor contract negotiations and other corporate-related tasks. They maintain compliance with all internal contract policies and procedures, and provides support to the Company’s business units.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsibility for broad range of legal matters and general business matters based on the needs of the company
  • Negotiate and draft customer and vendor contracts
  • Negotiate and draft various business-related documents and agreements
  • Assist with a variety of business-related functions, including, loans, equity raises, acquisitions, construction, real estate, reporting and compliance, litigation, etc.
  • Assist with information technology-related matters
  • Assist with compliance with various domestic and international privacy laws
  • Assist with the company’s data security program
  • Manage collections on customer accounts
  • Manage customer bankruptcy filings

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic credentials. 
  • Six or more years of experience as a lawyer working in the areas of contract negotiation, real estate, lease negotiation, and/or corporate law

  • Hands-on, self-starter who is disciplined and detail-oriented with the ability to work independently as well as in a team setting that requires a highly accurate and timely work product
