Responsibilities:

Equity Research Associates provide formal independent investment recommendations to advisory clients via published reports and financial models. Their internal and external communication takes the form of written research reports, personal conversations and meetings, and media appearances.

The Equity Research Associate will support the Analyst leading the coverage of the Fin Tech sector in the U.S. The Associate will be responsible for assisting with:

• building, reviewing and maintaining financial databases and models,
• analyzing company and industry data,
• building an investment thesis,
• publishing investment-driven research reports and notes, and
• meeting with corporates, investors, media outlets as well as internally within the business.

The Associate will also work with teams within the firm, such as corporate access, research sales, speculative sales and trading.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, or related field of study
• 2+ years of experience in sell-side or buy-side financial stock analysis
• Ability to analyze financial reports and business performance models
• Experience using market data tools, such as FactSet, Bloomberg and S&P Capital IQ
• Knowledge with financial modeling, stock analysis and valuation using Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

• CFA, CPA or international equivalent
• Some experience in financial stock analysis in the Fin Tech sector

• SIE, Series 86, 87

The expected starting salary range for this position is between $150,000 to $200,000 annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
