Full Job Description
The Position

The Associate Field Reimbursement Management (FRM) Director is responsible for leading strategy and execution of Field Reimbursement activities supporting Novo Nordisk therapy area(s) portfolio(s). This role ensures high-quality, consistent FRM execution that enables timely patient access to therapy at scale.

The role partners closely with Cardiometabolic or Rare Disease Program Management, Market Access, Sales, Marketing, Analytics, Legal and Compliance to translate access strategy into field execution. Responsibilities include defining FRM capabilities, managing vendors and performance, overseeing training and materials and driving accountability across large, high-volume therapeutic areas.

Relationships

Reports to the Director, Field Reimbursement Strategy & Execution. Partners closely with Market Access (MAPA), Marketing, Sales Leadership, Enterprise Insights & Analytics, Privacy, Legal and Compliance. Participates in cross functional launch and lifecycle planning and provides direction to FRM field managers and vendor partners supporting the aligned therapy area(s) brands.

Essential Functions
  • Management of vendor to include contracting, operational onboarding, training development, development of BRDs, execution and oversight
  • Lead end to end FRM strategy and execution for aligned therapeutic areas, ensuring consistent, scalable and compliant field reimbursement support
  • Translate access and policy strategy into clear field execution models, tactics and expectations
  • Support launch readiness and lifecycle execution, setting goals, priorities and deliverables for FRM teams
  • Ensure high quality execution of FRM programs across large national geographies with significant patient volume
  • Partner with operations and analytics to identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions
  • Oversee development and deployment of FRM tools, materials and training aligned to therapy area access dynamics
  • Drive KPI based performance management and coaching models across the FRM organization
  • Ensure national strategies are executed consistently at the territory level
  • Work closely with MAPA to understand payer coverage, utilization management and reimbursement trends and inform field strategy
  • Represent aligned therapy area(s) FRM performance, insights and risks to leadership forums
  • Create and manage national distro groups and communications in partnership with MAPA, PSS, legal, etc.
  • Lead, organize, content development for national meetings and POAs
  • Oversee FRM Managers, including, FRM coaching reports, field execution, call planning
  • Establish and manage clear ways of working with cross functional field teams


Physical Requirements

Up to 30% overnight travel required.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field. MBA or equivalent preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive patient support / brand management/ field reimbursement and/or sales/operations experience required
  • High level of analytics and insight generation required; ability to navigate FRM/CRM portals and analyse data
  • In depth knowledge of patient support programs and experience collaborating with PSP vendor
  • Experience managing vendor contracts and operational onboarding processes for contingent employees
  • Agency/Vendor management experience required
  • Ability to collaborate on cross-functional teams required
  • Anticipates problems and roadblocks to avoid crisis management
  • Must have proven track record of developing accurate short- and long-term business plans, results and follow up
  • Must have solid understanding of the pharmaceutical marketplace including legal, medical, regulatory and clinical processes
  • Ensures timely execution and follow-up. Meets deadlines
  • Intermediate proficiency in Windows, MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel required


The base compensation range for this position is $152,000 to $267,000. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance. Novo Nordisk offers long-term incentive compensation and or company vehicles depending on the position's level or other company factors.
