Overview: ClifftopLaw PLLC is a team-oriented and fast-paced General law practice seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in various areas of law, primarily focusing on Family Law.

Job Details:

  • Compensation: Salary range $90,000- $120,000 depending on experience.
  • Employment Type: Full-Time.
  • We are looking for a self-starter who has a passion for helping individuals and families through the toughest times of their lives.


Position Overview:

  • This position requires a law degree (J.D.) OR a Foreign law degree + LLM, must be licensed to practice law in Washington State.
  • The attorney will manage cases from inception through resolution, including drafting motions, handling depositions, and working closely with clients.
  • This position is ideal for a self-sufficient litigator who enjoys courtroom work and client advocacy.
  • Handle divorce, parenting plan, and related family law matters.
  • Must complete 1500 billable hours per year, dependent on availability of case work.
  • Draft and argue motions.
  • Conduct and defend depositions.
  • Manage cases independently while collaborating with firm leadership.
  • Maintain strong client communication throughout the case lifecycle.


Daily work expectations include:

  • Establishing positive and collaborative working relationships with clients, colleagues, and the courts.
  • Effectively applying legal solutions to clients' issues.
  • Clearly and empathetically communicating legal options to clients.
  • Effectively representing clients at hearings, depositions, and trials.
  • Consulting with and retaining new clients.
  • Working with staff to accurately calendar all hearings, filing deadlines, and other key dates.
  • Timely communicating with the Managing Attorney, Supervising Attorney, and team members to continue developing skill set and taking on more challenging legal issues.
  • Ability to multitask on a variety of projects.
  • Ability to work both independently & within a team environment.
  • Take ownership of assignments and execute them timely.
