Responsibilities
The Associate Director, University Computer Systems for Workday Finance provides strategic leadership for the Workday Financial Management ecosystem. This role oversees the Finance BA team, drives enterprise financial process optimization, and ensures Workday capabilities support accounting, procurement, budgeting, and audit requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the enterprise strategy, roadmap, and governance for Workday Financials; Manage and develop a team of Business Analysts (I-III); Oversee requirements, solution design, testing, and deployment; Partner with CFO, Controllers, Procurement, Grants, and IT leadership; Ensure compliance with GAAP, audit standards, and internal controls; Prioritize enhancement portfolio and release cycle; Serve as escalation point for complex Workday Finance issues; Oversee vendor relationships and Workday support interactions; and deliver executive level reporting on system performance and KPIs .
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or appropriate area of specialization and six years of related experience; or Master's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or appropriate area of specialization and four years of related experience.
Recommended Competencies
Supervisory experience and ability to plan and control projects;
Ability to communicate effectively in dealing with internal and external customers and suppliers;
Experience working with Workday;
Strong verbal and written communication skills;
Must have Project Management Skills, experience with system integration and conversion projects; and,
Ability to understand, and clearly relate to other members of the organization, technical manuals, software specifications, general methods of applications software development methodologies and techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, IT, or related field; Master's preferred.
10+ years BA experience, 5+ years Workday Financials, preferred.
5+ years leadership experience.
Expertise in multiple Workday Finance modules.
Pay Plan
This is an Administrative and Professional (A&P) position.
