Full Job Description
Associate Director, Strategic Partnerships & Engagement

This position is primarily responsible for managing, in a team environment, several key strategic initiatives for the association, including Associate Member partnerships, political engagement, and grant funding and administration. This is a highly visible role that involves building and maintaining excellent relationships, managing programs from strategy to execution, and working closely with members, vendor partners, and community-based organizations on business development, political engagement, and grant acquisition, administration, and reporting. As part of a small team, the Associate Director is both a strategist and a doer and must be comfortable moving from a conversation with an associate member to a candidate briefing, soliciting political contributions, preparing a grant proposal, connecting partners with members, planning a campaign event, or making sure an important commitment or member outreach doesnt fall through the cracks. Initiative, self-management, communication, organization, time management, detail orientation, and responsiveness are required skills and attributes for this position.

You Will
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for the Associate Member program, ensuring that participating organizations see meaningful value from their investment and view the association as a trusted partner.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Associate Members.
  • Develop a solid understanding of each Associate Members goals and strategically identify and create opportunities to connect them to hospital leaders, as requested.
  • Conduct proactive check-ins to verify that program benefits and commitments are delivered consistently.
  • Coordinate Associate Member participation in events, programs, and other opportunities for visibility.
  • Identify opportunities to increase engagement, value, and retention.
  • Track activities and results and communicate impact and outcomes to Associate Members and association leadership.


Political Engagement and PAC Management
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the local political action committee and help create opportunities for members to engage in the political process.
  • Manage PAC administration and fundraising efforts, including soliciting contributions, maintaining records, and ensuring legally compliant documentation and reporting.
  • Build relationships with current and potential PAC contributors and communicate the purpose and impact of their participation.
  • Arrange candidate briefing opportunities.
  • Support the PAC process for evaluating candidates and supporting candidates.


Grant Funding and Administration
  • Identify grant opportunities aligned with association priorities.
  • Develop grant proposals, applications, budgets, and supporting materials in collaboration with staff, association leadership, and CAHHS accounting.
  • Manage grant agreements, reporting requirements, deadlines, and communications with funders.
  • Track grant outcomes and communicate the impact of funded programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
