Associate Director - Station Renewals and Continuity LeadWe are looking for an
Associate Director, Station Renewals and Continuity Lead, to join our team in New York.
You will work as part of the NRC North America Stations team, to lead the delivery project as required and act as lead interface with the client.
Key Accountabilities - Validate and strengthen the proposed design by working with clients and stakeholders to align on operational requirements and demonstrate the scheme's benefits.
- Clarifies, aligns, and embeds operational needs into the developing scheme so the final design supports efficient day-to-day running and delivers tangible benefits for clients and its customers.
- Use best practice experience to consult with stakeholders on the introduction of a new unified Station Operations Centre, enabling integrated control of station operations, consistent passenger information, and faster response to operational events, supporting ease of operations throughout the station complex.
- Interrogate proposed layouts including to confirm the station operates safely and effectively under real conditions.
- Use knowledge drawn from equivalent high-volume stations to identify pinch points, remove operational risks, and prevent customer impacting issues.
- Assess the performance of circulation space, vertical circulation, wayfinding and customer information, platform arrangements, and back of house functions to verify that the station design enables reliable service delivery and smooth customer throughput.
- Develop an appropriate strategy for the development and delivery of the Project work scope.
- Monitor planning so that it considers and manages the interdependencies between other projects and programme requirements and supports the effective delivery of contracted obligations.
Job Skills, Experience & Qualifications Essential - Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Relevant experience in the successful management of significant projects in the construction and/or rail industries.
- Experience of station operations and rebuilding.
- Experience of Project Management, Stakeholder Management, and Change Management.
- Strong communication skills, commercial focus and financially astute.
- General knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental Regulations.
Desirable - Member of a relevant professional body with chartered status
- Project Management of Station openings
- Awareness of US rail structure.
- Ability to establish a quick and good rapport with differing teams and workforces.
