The Associate Director, Senior Solution Delivery Partner is a dynamic role that combines the expertise of a project manager and a business analyst and will collaborate with functional leaders to identify, qualify, and drive the adoption of technology solutions that achieve business operational outcomes and strategic goals. The Solution Delivery Partner will coordinate across various shared services groups within IT and other functions to successfully implement new capabilities for Otsuka and our affiliates. The Associate Director, Solution Delivery Partner is a role for someone who has worked (hand-on) with two or more of the commercial technologies, has a strong understanding of the commercial processes in Pharma, and has strong communication, business analysis, and critical thinking skills.

The Ideal candidate would be someone who have worked with Commercial technologies in the past or recently and is interested to be more stakeholder facing to define scope and requirements, and influence solutions design to solve for business need, rather than managing platforms or support teams.

Job Description

The Sr. Solution Delivery Partner will collaborate with functional leaders to identify, qualify, and drive the adoption of technology solutions that achieve business operational outcomes and strategic goals. The Solution Deliver Partner will coordinate across various shared services groups within IT and other functions to successfully align, integrate, and enable new capabilities for Otsuka and our affiliates.

Core Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
  • Solution Identification: Leveraging the IT strategy and roadmap, identify technology opportunities to address process 'pain points', enable leading practices and technology-enabled improvement opportunities, and build business case for implementation IT initiatives. Create and own appropriate business-aligned documents and implementation plans.
  • Business Analysis: The Solution Deliver Partner will prepare, lead and document the requirement gathering effort, decompose abstract and complex details/concepts into business and functional requirements, develop business cases with defined solution recommendations, evaluate and qualify opportunities, and define measurable business outcomes.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage projects from inception to completion. Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, identify risks, provide progress updates and support stakeholder communications. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions. Work with business stakeholders to plan, coordinate and support UAT and defect resolutions.
  • Solution Delivery: Work with technical teams to design and implement solutions that meet business requirements and with the testing team. Ensure solutions are scalable, sustainable, and aligned with industry best practices and technology strategies.
  • Project Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, system documentation, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Subject Matter Resource: Provide techno-functional working knowledge to assist in evaluating improvements in business process and execution. Maintain awareness of industry trends and provide recommendations to facilitate decision making and have knowledge for three or more functional areas.
  • Process Expertise: Possess strong business processes and IT capability awareness to ensure optimal solution decisions to align technology with business priorities
  • IT Connector: Understand who to engage for internal IT products/services to deliver new technology solutions to achieve business value. Know IT strategic platforms and drive business partners towards 'standard' platform solutions.
  • Vendor Management: Lead vendor evaluation, selection, and relationship management during the execution of a project with oversight from Business Partner area lead. Working with the Business Partner, create, contract, and manage the project finances, and hold vendor accountable on delivering to the contract.


Qualifications

Knowledge/ Experience and Skills:
  • 10 + years of overall experience: Minimum 5 years of technical experience: Prior or current hands-on experience with at least two Pharma Sales & Marketing technologies including:
  • CRM solutions (Veeva or Salesforce)
    o Field Reporting and Commercial Analytics (Power BI or similar),
    o Databases and systems integration, MDM, and Commercial Data Warehouse (Snowflake, SQL, informatica, Matillion, Mulesoft, etc.)
    o Digital and Omnichannel technologies (SDC, SFMC, etc.)
  • Minimum 5 years of Commercial Domain experience: Experience in a technology role supporting at least two of the Pharmaceutical Sales & Marketing, Market Access, or Commercial operations including:
    o Field Force Solutions: CRM, Field alignment and segmentation processes, pre-call planning activities, and Field reporting and KPIs.
    o Marketing Solutions: MLR processes, Omnichannel NBA engines, Marketing Automation, Customer Data Platforms/Customer 360 audience management, or content development
    o Market Access: Channel Strategy and Managed Markets


  • Insights and knowledge of leading technology trends and best practices which are improving the processes and strategic decision making in supported areas.
  • Experience working with globally distributed business and IT teams, especially in Japan, EU and India.
  • Strong business analysts skills in process design, documentation, and critical thinking.
  • Experience supporting commercial teams including brand, sales, Market Access, and/or Commercial operations teams in a technology role performing business analysis, requirement gathering, and identifying and presenting solutions.
  • Strong collaboration skills working with stakeholders and platforms teams to scope activities and identify solutions.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with emerging AI solutions and defining use cases for commercial teams is preferred.
  • Agile methodologies like scale agile is preferred.
  • Experience managing demand backlogs in tools like Azure DevOps, JIRA, or Monday.com is preferred.
  • Data or Solution Architecture experience is preferred.
  • Supporting Pharmaceutical product launch activities in a Technology role is preferred.
  • Up to 20% travel is required, based upon business needs.

Educational Qualifications:

Minimum of a bachelor's degree; preferably, a degree in Computer Science, Engineering or adjacent fields. Advanced degree in in sciences, business administration, or pharmaceuticals is optimal.

Minimum $169,222.00 - Maximum $253,000.00, plus incentive opportunity: The range shown represents a typical pay range or starting pay for individuals who are hired in the role to perform in the United States. Other elements may be used to determine actual pay such as the candidate's job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in role. Typically, actual pay will be positioned within the established range, rather than at its minimum or maximum. This information is provided to applicants in accordance with states and local laws.
