The Team:

You will be working with an energetic, entrepreneurial, and focused team that is a known market leader and is committed to building the best technology. S&P Global Market Intelligence's Enterprise Solutions group provides market intelligence, data, and technology solutions to all participants in the global markets. You'll get to work in a collaborative environment with product analysts, engineers, designers, and client-facing teams who are all working to redefine how capital market participants receive and analyze workflows and system interactions.

Our product division operates with an agile and forward-looking mindset. You will be given an opportunity to execute on key product initiatives and make a noticeable contribution to the platform's evolution.

The Impact:

The Product Manager will have an opportunity to join a high-performing team responsible for building next-generation electronic workflow, data feed, integration, developer portals, and compliance tools for institutional investors. In today's business environment, the ability to leverage automated workflows and robust API connections is crucial. This is an excellent opportunity to manage strategic projects and stakeholder expectations while directly influencing the integration and adoption of our technology.

What's in it for you:

This is an excellent opportunity for a Product Manager to develop deep industry and platform expertise within a fast-growing, global financial technology organization. You will be exposed to multiple S&P teams and programs looking to integrate with our platforms, giving you the opportunity to influence key technical requirements. You will build expertise on S&P's modern technology stack, developer portals, and the nuances of cross-asset transactional and data workflows.

Responsibilities:

As a Product Manager, you will align yourself to know what delivers value to our clients and users when they access the software and data that the Enterprise Solutions group offers. You'll understand the end-users' needs inside and out, the comparative importance of those needs, and the dependencies that exist between those needs. Using this knowledge, you will:
  • Develop industry expertise: Acquire a deep understanding of our industry, client workflows, and requirements to help guide internal product planning.
  • Write user stories: Define new application features and workflows in clear user stories. Collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders to refine detailed requirements, system interactions, high-level data flows, and component architecture.
  • Govern agile software delivery: Participate in and actively improve our agile software development processes. Execute sprints, adhering strictly to robust definitions of "Ready" and "Done" while ensuring elite quality standards.
  • Manage strategic projects: Direct critical projects and balance stakeholder expectations around deliverables. Provide occasional product assistance and technical troubleshooting for internal partners and end-users.
  • Architect API integration: Build a deep understanding of our internal data models, API infrastructure, and Developer Experience (DX) portals to facilitate smooth integrations.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives: Participate in and lead cross-program collaboration on new initiatives to drive unified, scalable platform solutions across multiple organizational departments.

Who you are:
  • A collaborative leader: You possess the flexibility to work both independently and as a strategic leader across multiple functional departments. You build and maintain strong relationships with developers, architects, and business stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated & proactive: You are self-motivated, take initiative, and welcome the challenge of complex problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communicator: You have outstanding written and verbal communication skills. You can translate complex client workflows and technical needs into clear development guidelines.
  • Organizational master: You have strong organizational skills and the ability to seamlessly prioritize and multitask projects across short, medium, and long-term horizons.
  • Enthusiastic: You are a collaborative team player who brings positive energy, dedication, and technical curiosity to everything you do.

We look for:
  • 11+ years of professional career experience, preferably in technical product management roles working alongside engineering teams.
  • At least 2-3 years of extensive experience leading end-to-end product discovery phases.
  • Proven track record of managing product development and driving software releases.
  • Strong background in managing API products, with a deep understanding of SOA Architecture, JSON, REST, and managing Developer Experience (DX) portal sites.
  • Experience in defining and documenting system interactions, high-level data flows, and component architecture.
  • Experience with detailed requirements gathering in complex domains; ability to work comfortably with diagramming and/or wireframing tools such as Sketch or Figma.
  • Genuine interest in, exposure to, or deep domain knowledge of finance, capital markets, electronic trading, or institutional investing (Capital Markets experience preferred).
  • Deep familiarity with various Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC) and agile frameworks.
  • 4-year Bachelor's Degree required.
