Full Job Description
As Associate Director, Partnerships and Cause Marketing, this position manages highly visible fundraising programs for Duke Children's. Through effective strategic planning with the team, this position will be responsible for the successful solicitation, growth, and stewardship of major partnerships within the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals program. This position also works with local businesses and organizations to grow local fundraising support for Duke Children's. This position reports to the Director, Partnerships and Cause Marketing. The position will work collaboratively with colleagues in Duke Children's Development (DCHD), throughout Duke Health and Duke University, with CMN Hospitals' national office staff, and colleagues at other member hospitals across the U.S. to maximize fundraising support for Duke Children's. Work Arrangement - Hybrid; This position is a full-time located in Durham, NC. This is not a remote position. DEPARTMENTAL SKILLS/PREFERENCES - Able to maintain integrity and professionalism in a fast-paced team environment - Creative problem solver; enjoys setting goals and strategies to meet goals - Demonstrated knowledge of the fundamentals of fundraising/advancement preferred. - Excellent customer service skills. - Proven skills at building and managing relationships with donors, volunteers and vendors - Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively; self-motivated - Experience supporting Children's Miracle Network Hospitals programs or partnerships is preferred. - Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite to include: Word, Power Point, Excel and Teams is preferred. - Work requires occasional evening and weekend work. - Valid driver's license - Eager to work in environment that adheres to the Duke Children's Development Office's core values: - Teamwork - Respect - Integrity - Trust - Excellence MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education - Work requires communications, analytical and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program. Experience - Work requires the ability to plan and administer programs and direct program activities within a specific functional area, generally acquired through four (4) years of related experience. OR ANY OTHER EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE. Work Performed Children's Miracle Network Hospitals Corporate Partnerships [70%] - Manage and steward Children's Miracle Network Hospitals' national corporate accounts across the Duke CMN Hospitals' market area (such as: RE/MAX, Ace Hardware, Speedway/7-Eleven, and others). - Collaborate with Director, Partnerships and Cause Marketing and team in planning corporate partner engagement strategy & growth strategy, with goal of increasing net income and identifying areas of best potential. - Develop and sustain strong relationships by attending partner fundraising events, conducting presentations, visiting partner locations, maintaining communication strategy, and leading hospital tours. - Create toolkits and resources for partners to maximize their fundraising and create visibility for the program. - Develop and coordinate communication plans with partners and fundraisers to maximize dollars raised. - Work collaboratively with the CMN Hospitals national staff and colleagues from peer CMN Hospitals to learn best practices for CMN Hospitals' initiatives, and implement effective strategy within our CMNH Market. Local Corporate Partnerships [25%] - Identifies and establishes new corporate and local partnerships, such as cause marketing and sponsorship programs that generate fundraising and exposure for Duke Children's. - Actively prospect new partnerships with a connection to Duke Children's mission. - Solicit sponsorships and partnership opportunities for Duke Children's Development signature events, such as the MIX 101.5 Radiothon, Over the Edge, and other campaigns. - Develop and sustain strong relationships by attending partner fundraising events, conducting presentations, visiting partner locations, maintaining communication strategy, and leading hospital tours. Data Analysis [5%] - Maintain clear, concise, and accurate fundraising reports for all partnerships. - Utilize data from Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and Duke Children's reports to make informed decisions around fundraising, areas of opportunity, and return on investment. Anticipated Pay Range: Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $62,766.00 to USD $97,798.00.
