Full Job Description
Summary:
The Hotel:

The Associate Director of Marketing works directly with the Director of Sales & Marketing to collaborate with the resort department heads and team members to manage all the resort marketing programs, strategies, budget, and agencies. Work closely with the Director of Revenue Management to increase revenue streams associated with the resort and outlets to include restaurants, spas, the spa, meetings, events and weddings with a commercial strategy mindset. The Marketing Coordinator will report to the Associate Director of Marketing to assist on marketing initiatives with being mentored in their role.
• Manage hourly marketing colleague through scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, evaluating and hiring.
• Develop and implement annual and ongoing marketing and media plans, staying within budget, for the resort, meetings, events, weddings, spa, and restaurants.
• Run monthly meetings with departments to gain insights into their marketing needs to facilitate agencies, and internally to set expectations of deadlines and goals.
• Update the monthly marketing presentation for owner meetings and join calls to review results.
• Work directly with Hyatt Field Marketing on digital marketing initiatives for the resort and outlets to implement with the digital agency.
• Manage the social media and public relation agencies.
• Plan and place all advertising with agencies assistance.
• Assist in the creation and management of all spas, restaurant, and resort marketing materials, collateral development and advertising based on department requests.
• Manage workflow and priorities for marketing coordinator, graphic designer, and agencies.
• Develop protocols for each department to follow to submit marketing requests and understand deliverable timeframes in order to successfully market and gain awareness.
• Communicate to public relations agency the resort and outlet special achievements, activities, and ongoing events to gain awareness locally, nationally, and obtain accolades to showcase to guests and meeting planners.
• Strategize with the food & beverage team to promote programs in the restaurants, special menus, and events to increase local and on-property guest awareness.
• Approve content calendars from social agencies and marketing coordinator for social media channels.
• This role is responsible for having marketing messaging integrated across all marketing channels.
• Assist in the execution of media events, approving social influencers, and coordinate their overall stay as the point of contact.
• Assist in planning, promotion and coordinating special events including but not limited to guest appreciation events, holiday/seasonal events, and outdoor activities.
• Assist in preparation of sales and marketing expense budgets. Reconcile the marketing budget monthly for accounting.
• Support sales and catering teams with appropriate collateral and marketing materials.
• Attend Commercial Strategy meetings and communicate marketing strategies to align with goals.
• Update various websites with marketing messages on Hyatt.com and third-party websites.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in marketing, business and/or communications preferred.
  • Five years of marketing work experience; preferably in hospitality .
  • Minimum of 2 years leadership experience required.
  • Proficient knowledge of print and digital production.
  • Proficient knowledge of social media marketing.
  • Proficient knowledge of digital marketing including SEO, paid advertising, and AI optimization for Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Understanding fundamentals of marketing to leisure guests, meeting planners, and weddings.
  • Commercial Strategy - understanding numbers, ROI and reporting. Strong analytical skills.
  • High degree of organization, attention to details and level of professional conduct. Self-starter, comfortable in communicating across disciplines, owners, and agencies.
  • Requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Continue to learn and stay on top of trends in digital marketing, PR, social media, AI, and hospitality.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of Canva.
  • Creative and graphic skills, desirable.
