Full Job Description
This position is part of Facilities Management and Workplace Services (FMWS) and provides oversight for an outsourced Integrated Facilities Management Provider (IFMP). It oversees facilities management services delivered primarily at the Lilly Technology Center (LTC) north and south campuses in Indianapolis, Indiana, functioning much like a landlord for FMWS-owned facilities, including administrative, laboratory, pilot plant, clinical trial manufacturing/production/packaging/distribution, and data center space, as well as site grounds and infrastructure. The role also oversees CBRE services provided in non-FMWS-owned facilities at LTC and the Materials Center, such as campus-wide housekeeping. The position is ultimately accountable for ensuring FM assets and services are delivered safely and meet the needs of both the business and building occupants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the relationship between the Integrated Facilities Management Provider (IFMP) and Lilly.
  • Serve as an advocate for either party as needed, drive cross-functional collaboration, and coordinate communication between the IFMP and Lilly organizations such as the ETC and various tech teams.
  • Ensure the IFMP's objectives align with company priorities by establishing and refining relationship goals, success indicators, KPIs, governance structures, business processes, and communication strategies.
  • Monitor IFMP performance through regular business review meetings with FMWS and IFMP management.
  • Meet regularly with key customers, participating in customer lead teams (e.g., quality, HSE, facilities) as needed.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction, ensure service level agreements are implemented, and serve as the first Lilly management point of contact for contract interpretation and issue escalation.
  • Partner with Procurement and Finance to ensure the IFMP adheres to compliance and financial requirements, including review/approval of invoices and out-of-baseline work (via the SOCC process), and approval of work orders and stores requests.
  • Monitor expense performance to plan across the IFM cost centers and oversee the local capital budget, approving Capital Investment Requests (CIRs) and monitoring capital project financial performance.
  • Monitor delivery of all capital projects led by IFMP project managers at the site, including major capital and locally funded projects.
  • Serve as the Lilly Hiring Manager for IFMP and subcontractor personnel, ensuring compliance with relevant Lilly policies, approving system access and equipment issuance, conducting periodic access reviews, and managing contractor recertification and related HR matters.
  • Ensure suppliers meet all applicable HSE requirements; participate in relevant HSE steering teams, safety teams, and environmental review meetings; support IFMP success in internal and external HSE audits and inspections.
  • Ensure suppliers meet all applicable GMP requirements and support IFMP success in internal quality audits and external inspections.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes and operations using Lean and other methodologies to improve reliability, productivity, efficiency, product quality, and risk reduction; support energy reduction efforts and serve as point person for key FMWS initiatives and programs.
  • Serve as the IT system owner for FM-related Lilly IT systems supporting facilities and utilities management.
  • Serve as an emergency officer, providing leadership during emergency response and recovery, including liaison support to site business recovery efforts.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in operations in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in GMP facility with engineering, design, construction, and/or maintenance.

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in capital project management.

Preferences
