Job DescriptionAbout the role:The Associate Director, Immunology Competitive Intelligence & Market Research will lead strategic CI activities for a key asset within Takeda's Immunology portfolio. You will report to the Director of Market Research and Competitive Intelligence for the Gastroenterology and Immunology Business Unit. This is a hybrid role based in Cambridge, MA.
How you will contribute:
Strategic Leadership:- Develop and execute CI plans.
- Deliver timely, actionable insights and alerts on competitor activities, market dynamics, and emerging trends.
- Manage external vendors to ensure high-quality deliverables and compliance with ethical standards.
- Organize and lead strategic work sessions
- Demonstrate subject matter expertise and thought leadership, creating and sharing best in class practices
Conference Coverage:- Lead and coordinate CI activities at major scientific and industry conferences, including pre-conference planning, on-site intelligence gathering, and post-conference reporting.
Cross Functional Communication:- Partner with cross-functional teams (Global, Medical Affairs, Forecasting, Marketing) to align CI outputs with business needs.
- Support Investor Relations call preparation and other external communications with accurate, relevant information.
Insight Generation & Storytelling:- Synthesize complex data into clear, compelling narratives that inform strategic decisions.
- Lead select market research projects (e.g. promotional effectiveness, demand studies, syndicated studies)
- Deliver impactful presentations and recurring updates to senior leadership.
- Closely collaborate with market research and analytics leads, providing comprehensive view of the competitive landscape, integrating syndicated data, PMR, and secondary data.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:- B.A./B.S. scientific or commercial education
- 7+ years of progressive responsibility in competitive intelligence or related field in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry
- Proven record of innovation and capability building within CI, including AI integration experience
- Matrix stakeholder management experience
- Familiarity with dermatology and/or rheumatology therapeutic areas strongly preferred

U.S. Base Salary Range:$154,400.00 - $242,550.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
