The Associate Director - Health IT Field Lead plays a pivotal role in leading a team of Health IT Liaisons and executing Amgen's Health IT strategy. This position ensures the team operates in alignment with corporate objectives and contributes to improved patient outcomes.

This role is both strategic and operational, serving as a coach who manages and develops the Health IT Liaison team. The Associate Director will drive adoption of Amgen's Health IT initiatives, oversee execution of account plans, and ensure compliance with all standards.

The position requires strong leadership and a focus on building team capabilities. The Associate Director will evaluate performance, provide feedback, recognize high achievement, and identify training needs in partnership with training teams. They will also lead the team through organizational and technological changes, ensuring adaptability and resilience in a dynamic environment.

The Associate Director will collaborate closely with Medical Value and Access, Medical Science Liaisons, and cross-functional partners to integrate population health strategies and value-based initiatives. This includes supporting organizations focused on quality improvement, care management, and patient engagement to drive meaningful impact on health outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Lead, coach, and develop the Health IT Liaison team to ensure effective execution of account plans, adherence to compliance standards, and continuous improvement.
Evaluate performance, provide constructive feedback, recognize achievement, and identify training needs; partner with training teams to design and deliver programs.
Lead national training initiatives, including new hire onboarding and ongoing team learning programs
Support the Health IT Liaison strategy, messaging, tools, & field teams' training for EHR initiatives supporting CV and Bone therapeutic areas, with the expansion efforts within the Oncology, Inflammation, and Rare Disease
Work with third-party vendors to facilitate the internal legal, regulatory and medical review of marketing materials via the Materials Approval and Compliance (MAC)
Standardize, deploy, and execute the Health IT strategy in collaboration with the Director.
Lead account planning and management efforts for priority IDN and Payer accounts.
Manage the customer accounts prioritization process for the Health IT Liaisons
Collaborate with cross-functional medical and commercial account teams to gather customer insights to inform internal strategy.
Partner with Medical and IDN Strategy Team leads and other cross-functional partners to align initiatives and assess national opportunities.
Confidently engage customers using appropriate methods and MAC approved materials/messaging
Ensure effective use of CRM tools to manage schedules, track activities, and document customer interactions.
Contribute to cross-functional workstreams that advance business initiatives as requested
Evolve future Health IT Liaison strategic and executional plans in alignment with medical and brand strategic plans
Provide input on targeting strategies, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and Plans of Action (POAs)
40-50% travel may be required

Experience successfully managing and motivating direct reports
Ability to effectively manage complex accounts
