The opportunity

As a Communications Associate Director aligned to our Financial Services Industry group, you will play a critical role in shaping how we communicate our strategy and priorities across the organization.

You will serve as a trusted advisor to industry leadership, translating business priorities into clear, relevant and actionable internal communications that drive alignment, enable decision-making and support transformation.

Operating in a highly matrixed environment, you will help lead internal communications strategies that connect industry priorities with broader firm initiatives, ensuring consistency, clarity and impact across audiences.

Your key responsibilities
  • Serve as a strategic communications advisor to Financial Services Industry leadership, providing counsel on messaging, market activation of firm-wide and sector specific priorities, and internal positioning.
  • Develop and execute internal communications strategies that support industry campaigns and initiatives, drive alignment and enable behavior change across the organization.
  • Translate business strategy-including sector growth priorities, go-to-market focus and cross-service line collaboration-into clear, compelling and audience-centric communications.
  • Lead internal communications that help ensure the targeted audiences understand what matters, what's changing and what it means for them-connecting day-to-day work to broader business priorities.
  • Develop leadership communications, including talking points, presentations and key messages that enable leaders to communicate with clarity and consistency.
  • Partners across service lines and other industry teams and BMC functions to ensure aligned messaging and coordinated execution.
  • Leverage AI tools to help develop and execute deliverables, optimize workflow, enhance quality and generate insights.
  • Explore innovative uses of technology - including AI - to achieve goals and stay at forefront of best-in-class communications practice.
  • Lead, coach and develop Assistant Directors and Supervising Associates, fostering a high-performance, collaborative team culture.

To qualify for the role, you must have
  • 10+ years of experience in internal, executive or strategic communications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience advising senior leaders and developing executive communications
  • Experience leading communications strategies for complex initiatives or organizational transformations
  • Experience working across multiple stakeholder groups within large, matrixed organizations

  • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $130,500 to $251,200. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $156,600 to $285,400. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
  • Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
  • Under our flexible vacation policy, you'll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
