Job Description

Based in the Hariri Institute for Computing, the Software & Application Innovation Lab (SAIL) is a collaborative partner for Boston University faculty and researchers that engages in a variety of activities to encourage, enable, support, and execute research efforts involving technical, data-driven, computational, and software engineering aspects or components. The individual in this position will oversee multiple agile teams of software engineers and other technical team members in designing, building, deploying, and maintaining online prototypes, applications, software platforms, and other systems. They will identify appropriate tools, frameworks, technology stacks, and other institutional and external resources that are necessary to execute engineering efforts. They will implement, and oversee the implementation of, solutions involving a variety of technologies and techniques. They will also work with the Director to shape long-term plans for SAIL's with regard to prioritizing opportunities, managing growth, and engaging with new collaborators and partners. This individual will author project plans and technical publications, communicate and coordinate with a variety of stakeholders within the research community, provide consultations, and contribute to open source communities.

Required Skills
