Job Title:
Associate Director, Engineering Career Services
As the Associate Director of Engineering Career Services, this position works with the Director of Engineering Career Services (ECS) in strategic planning and implementation of the overall direction of unit and the administration of ECS in areas such as budget, personnel, procedures and data collection; oversses operations in the Director's absence; directly supervises full-time career counselors, graduate student career advisors, graphic design student and marketing student; benchamrks resources and services with other campus units or university career centers; e;valuates employer and student data to assess career development trends; utilize informatin to modify programs and services; devise and implement a cohesive strategy for identified industries/majors with the goal of diversifying and expanding total employment prospects for students in ollaboration with Corporate Relations Team, manages and trains cross- functional project eams charged with upgrading existing services, responding to new challenges or opportunities, formulating recommendations, and/or implementing new policies, systems or services.
Leads Student Team and steers comprehensive strategy to ensure that students and alumni have access to relevant and timely career programs and resources. Provides personalized, consistent and high quality career coaching experience to help students successfully navigate their job search process. Manages career-oriented programming efforts and resource creation for undergraduates and graduates, including scheduling of workshops and events in collaboration with employer relations and administrative staff, as well as web content, print resources and online materials
Serve as liaison/representative to engineering centers, alumni offices, academic advisors, faculty, and advancement for strategic planning/alignment and to deliver innovative and customized career-related events, programs, and resources to prepare students for post graduate opportunities; consults with employers to design customized campus strategies to enhance their organization's recruiting effectiveness and visibility among students and contribute to post-degree employment for Ohio State engineering students; connects employers and students through experential learning opportunities like the Engineering like the Job Shadow Program, mini-treks, and major speciic treks; Serves ont the ECS Employer Team.
Lead all marketing initiatives for Engineering Career Services, including but not limited to email, text messaging, social media, print, etc.; evaluate and develop comprehensive annual strategy and overall marketing plan; coordinate marketin efforts among both the employer and student teams; collaborate with the COE Marketing Team; responsiblefor adherence to Ohio State branding guidelines; continuously pursuing training in this arena to ensure office is incorporating successful strategies and trends; oversee, design, and distribute primary communication, the ECS Wire and ECS Insider e-newsletters, which are the mechanisms by which students and employers stay apprised of ECS happenings; manage contribution lists, technology, and subscription procedures as they relate to office outreach.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree Counseling, Student Personnel, Higher Education, Human Resources, Teaching, Psychology, or related field (or equivalent experience); experience in career counseling and workshop facilitation; experience in marketing.or equivalent combination of education and seven years of experience, excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Desired Qualifications
Masters degree or an equivalent combination of education and career counseling experience. Twelve or more years of experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in standard office software; experience with Handshake or similar career management systems; familiarity with job search and career research resources; knowledge of current employment practices; experience with job search and interview coaching; experience with social media platforms and digital content creation.

Hiring Range: $95,300 - $124,650
The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
