We are seeking an Associate Director of Corporate Development. The Associate Director will lead high-impact contract negotiations, drive search and evaluation efforts, and develop actionable competitive intelligence. The ideal candidate combines a deep knowledge of the biotechnology and oncology spaces with strong analytical and communication skills. This role will work cross-functionally with R&D, CMC, G&A, and external legal counsel on a variety of initiatives. This position will report to the Executive Director of Corporate Development.
ResponsibilitiesThis role will drive several areas of strategic importance to Aktis:
- Support Aktis leaders in establishing and maintaining relationships with industry partners and academic collaborators.
- Lead cross-functional teams through the contract lifecycle from opportunity evaluation to agreement execution.
- Search and evaluate innovative assets and technologies complementary to Aktis' pipeline and platform.
- Lead competitive intelligence efforts to generate actionable insights for the Senior Leadership Team.
- Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to inform strategic decisions.
- Prepare presentations, analyses, and recommendations for the Senior Leadership Team.
- Support governance committees comprised of Senior Leadership Team and other team members.
Qualifications- Minimum of 5 years of experience either within business development at a global biopharma company or at a top-tier firm in management consulting, venture capital, or investment banking with a focus on biopharma.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with partners/collaborators and negotiate complex contracts of strategic importance.
- Demonstrated achievement in search and evaluation of assets and technologies.
- Significant experience creating and delivering presentations to senior management.
- MBA or PhD in life sciences or related field required.
