Full Job Description
Associate Director, Commercial Analytics in our Plymouth Meeting location The Associate Director, Commercial Analytics will serve as a key member of the Commercial Operations team, providing strategic analytics and operational support to Sales Leadership and Marketing. This role will be responsible for delivering actionable insights that drive commercial performance, optimize field execution, and support business growth. The individual will lead critical analytical initiatives including customer segmentation and tiering, territory alignment and ZIP-to-territory design, sales force effectiveness analyses, dashboard development, and ad hoc reporting.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Sales Analytics & Insights
    • Serve as the primary analytics partner to Sales Leadership and Marketing teams.
    • Deliver actionable insights to support product performance, field force execution, targeting strategies, and commercial decision-making.
    • Analyze sales trends, customer engagement, and market dynamics to identify opportunities and risks.
    • Develop and communicate recommendations through executive-ready presentations and reports.
    • Perform deep-dive analyses related to customer behavior, field activity, promotional effectiveness, and business performance.
    • Leverage multiple internal and external data sources to generate meaningful commercial insights.
  • Customer Segmentation & Targeting
    • Lead HCP and account tiering methodologies utilizing commercial data, prescribing behavior, and market intelligence.
    • Evaluate customer potential and recommend targeting strategies to improve sales effectiveness.
    • Partner with Marketing and Sales leadership to refine customer segmentation approaches and call planning strategies.
  • Territory Design & Alignment
    • Manage ZIP-to-territory alignment processes and territory optimization initiatives.
    • Conduct territory sizing, workload balancing, and geographic analyses to support organizational effectiveness.
    • Partner with Sales Operations on territory realignments, expansion planning, and field force deployment decisions.
  • Dashboarding & Reporting
    • Design, develop, and maintain commercial dashboards and performance reporting tools.
    • Create automated reporting solutions that improve visibility into key performance indicators.
    • Ensure timely delivery of recurring and ad hoc reporting requests for Sales, Marketing, and Executive Leadership.
    • Support special projects, product launches and strategic commercial initiatives


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required; MS/MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • 7+ years of working in the pharma/biotech space required; 5+ years in pharma/biotech commercial analytics functions required.
  • Experience working with healthcare data sources such as IQVIA, Symphony, Komodo, Definitive Healthcare, or similar datasets.
  • Proven ability to conduct sophisticated and creative analysis while translating the results into easily digestible messages, communications, and presentations.
  • Excellent experience with business intelligence solutions and application development, including development and communication of requirements from key stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple, cross-functional projects simultaneously
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel & PowerPoint required


Physical demands and work environment:
  • Domestic travel is estimated to be 10% of the time for this position.
