Full Job Description
Summary of Position:

Reporting to and working in conjunction with the Vice President of ASC Operations, the Associate Director serves as a key Operations leader for our surgery centers. Responsible for leading, supporting, and otherwise coordinating operations across all ASCs, the Associate Director will have an especially strong focus on our established centers in Georgia. The ideal candidate will also have strong background in healthcare operations, with a particular focus on surgical procedures and surgery centers.

Responsibilities
  • In conjunction with the VP of ASC Ops, provide leadership for daily general ASC operations, establishing and implementing goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and systems for all aspects of the surgery centers across the entire SSJC portfolio, concentrated in Georgia.
  • Project manage initiatives as directed by the VP of ASC Operations or COO, contributing to process improvement and positive P&L growth
  • Develop and implement long-range plans with a focus on employee improvement and growth
  • Participates in the selection and training of ASC staff to promote positive workplace performance
  • Participates in staff supervision, performance evaluation, merit increases, and disciplinary actions
  • Serve as a liaison between senior leadership and employees, promoting staff performance improvement while ensuring leadership is aware of all staff feedback
  • Partner and collaborate with physicians, mid-level providers, and Administration to ensure surgical standards, regulatory requirements, and operational workflows support the overall company mission
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of de novo surgery centers
  • Serves as a liaison between ASCs and external agencies as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Skills And Abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to become a core trainer and super user of EHR (EClinicalWorks)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to HIPAA
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to read, write, and speak in English fluently. Multi-Lingual is appreciated
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology and surgery center protocols
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of planning and management sufficient to manage, direct, and coordinate the operation of a health care organization
  • Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making to achieve ASC objectives
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to address issues with staff
  • Emotional intelligence and manner while assessing performance of employees/performance standards, implementing change, ensuring accountability, and rewarding achievement

Education And Experience
  • 5+ years of healthcare operations management experience required
  • Experience using eClinicalWorks strongly preferred
  • Prior Pain Management experience preferred
  • Experience with regulatory certification processes preferred
  • Ability to travel to all ASC locations, as needed, required
  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
