Associate Digital Design Engineer

Position Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop printed circuit boards (PCBs) for electronic products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications
  • Specify the stack-up dimensions and desired electrical characteristics of the circuit board
  • Component selection
  • Analyze design tradeoff
  • Participate in design reviews
  • Ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective
  • Documentation
  • Board bring-up and testing
  • Support sustaining engineering efforts on existing PCB and system-level products
  • Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders on defining and understanding requirements, and program execution and establishing schedules


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 2+ years of related work experience and a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of related work experience and technical education
  • 2+ years of experience in PCB design, assembly, verification, debugging, troubleshooting, and repair
  • Working knowledge with circuit design, schematic capture, and analysis with Mentor Graphics or other PCB design software
  • Working knowledge with industry standard electronic interfaces, including DDR4/5, PCIe, I2C, SPI/QSPI, and JTAG
  • Working knowledge in VHDL/Verilog Hardware Description Languages
  • Proficient in simulation, modeling, and analysis of electronic hardware


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
  • 3+ years of experience in PCB design and PCB assembly, verification, debugging, troubleshooting, and repair
  • Fluent in VHDL/Verilog Hardware Description Languages
  • Experience designing board with PCIe, DDR, I2C, SPI, and Quad SPI protocols and interfaces
  • Experience with FPGA design and tools
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical information to team members, customers, and stakeholders
