Associate Digital Design Engineer
Position Responsibilities:- Design and develop printed circuit boards (PCBs) for electronic products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications
- Specify the stack-up dimensions and desired electrical characteristics of the circuit board
- Component selection
- Analyze design tradeoff
- Participate in design reviews
- Ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective
- Documentation
- Board bring-up and testing
- Support sustaining engineering efforts on existing PCB and system-level products
- Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders on defining and understanding requirements, and program execution and establishing schedules
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 2+ years of related work experience and a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of related work experience and technical education
- 2+ years of experience in PCB design, assembly, verification, debugging, troubleshooting, and repair
- Working knowledge with circuit design, schematic capture, and analysis with Mentor Graphics or other PCB design software
- Working knowledge with industry standard electronic interfaces, including DDR4/5, PCIe, I2C, SPI/QSPI, and JTAG
- Working knowledge in VHDL/Verilog Hardware Description Languages
- Proficient in simulation, modeling, and analysis of electronic hardware
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):- 3+ years of experience in PCB design and PCB assembly, verification, debugging, troubleshooting, and repair
- Fluent in VHDL/Verilog Hardware Description Languages
- Experience designing board with PCIe, DDR, I2C, SPI, and Quad SPI protocols and interfaces
- Experience with FPGA design and tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical information to team members, customers, and stakeholders
