DutiesHelp
- Shares fully the responsibility for developing, planning, directing, and coordinating all program activities across national Livestock and Poultry Program functions.
- Participates in formulating Service-wide policies and adapts them to the specific needs, structures, and requirements of the Livestock and Poultry Program.
- Reviews, correlates, and analyzes technical, administrative, and economic materials prepared by staff, ensuring accuracy and strategic relevance.
- Identifies significant issues during early developmental stages, monitors new trends and innovations, and takes or recommends appropriate corrective actions.
- Provides authoritative information, technical guidance, and expert advice on specialized subject areas central to the Livestock and Poultry Program mission.
- Maintains extensive liaison and contact with internal and external organizations, performing critical communication and coordination functions necessary to program and Agency operations.
- Establishes, develops, and sustains productive relationships with other program units, government agencies, industry groups, and public stakeholders to ensure cooperation and harmonized program execution.
- Directs personnel management and administrative activities across the Livestock and Poultry Program, ensuring that staffing, resources, and organizational structures support efficient and effective national operations.
