Saint Joseph's College of Maine is hiring for the position of
Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Supports the division of Academic Affairs by supporting program development and implementation; participating in faculty evaluation and the assessment of all aspects of the academic program; assisting with academic policies, procedures, and governance; managing faculty development and mentorship; and supporting internships, community-based and experiential learning integration strategies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's Degree with extensive higher education administration experience is required
- Doctoral degree with five years or more of management/administrative experience in higher education is preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Must have excellent skills in the following areas: writing, interpersonal communications, supervision, computer/PC use, and decision making
- Long range planning, systems thinking, and strategic vision skills
- Ability to lead new initiatives and work effectively in an ever-changing environment Ability to use creativity and innovation in strategy formation and problem-solving Must demonstrate teamwork skills and a willingness to help others
