Full Job Description
Develop, supervise, and maintain partnership and collaboration agreements with academic institutions and private veterinary practices. Schedule and conduct official meetings with accredited affiliated institutions to achieve, maintain, and follow up on collaborative agreements between institutions. Oversee clinical practice experiences for students. Supervise the clinical rotations scheduling process to meet the student needs. Evaluate and recommend the development and closure of clinical rotations according to student needs. Oversee student participation and progress in clinics and the appointment of clinical faculty, in coordination with the Dean and the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs. Develop, supervise, and evaluate clinical and community service activities on and off campus, in coordination with the Dean. Participate in negotiation processes with academic and private institutions that impact the services offered at the school. Convene regular meetings with administrative and clinical leaders to ensure their needs are handled and addressed in a timely and appropriate manner. Assist in the budget preparation and implementation of the clinical component and be responsible for its analysis and control. Evaluate and recommend the allocation and use of physical space and equipment for clinical programs. Direct and implement the activities contained in the school's strategic plan related to the clinical area, in coordination with the Dean. Promote the development of clinical research among the faculty, in collaboration with the Associate Dean for Research. Supervise and evaluate the performance of the teaching and non-teaching staff assigned to clinical affairs. Develop and coordinate the training and professional development plan of the faculty and administrative employees pertinent to clinical affairs. Develop and coordinate workshops, seminars, and other programs that will benefit the veterinary clinical community, in collaboration with the Dean. Serve as a liaison with state boards and examining agencies. Participate in the state and external agencies' licensing and accreditation processes for the academic programs offered at the school. Participate in the school's faculty recruitment process, in coordination with the Dean and Associate Deans. Coordinate the dissemination of information among the administration, faculty, and students in all clinical settings. Ensure compliance, of the faculty and administrative personnel in charge, with the UAGM academic and administrative policies and procedures. Prepare and submit management reports related to the activities carried out related to clinical affairs. Provide teaching/lecture and laboratory training in Clinical Sciences. Participate in extramurally funded research, including collaboration with external partners and student research advising.

Requisitos

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or international equivalent required. Board Certification or other equivalent required. Seven (7) years of academic and administrative experience in the university field in related roles. Demonstrate mastery of business productivity technology tools as well as remote communication technologies to support their functions and offer on-site and remote services. Knowledge of the academic areas of veterinary medicine programs. Knowledge of modern supervision and management theories and practices. Knowledge of the organization and structure of an academic institution. Ability to work effectively with faculty, administrative employees, students, and the community. Ability to make decisions of high responsibility. Ability to prepare written reports in a clear and concise manner. Ability to effectively express orally and in writing in English. Ability to prepare well-structured strategic plans. Must be available to travel as needed and serve as a professional representative of the school.
