Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an Associate Cyber Vulnerability Researcher to join the team! In this role, you will support the development of tools and products enabling cyber vulnerability research and testing at the application, operating system, hardware, and network levels. This position is flexible for remote and/or office work with strong career growth opportunities.

What You'll be Doing:
  • Test and evaluate 3rd party capabilities using open source and proprietary tools
  • Craft unique, tailor-made emulated threat scenarios leveraging tools such as Python/Scapy, Caldera, Metasploit
  • Document and collaborate on scenario development and findings with team members, both internal and external
  • Develop and maintain threat scenario automations using combinations of Bash, Python, Java, Selenium
  • Coordinate, develop, and test scenario preparation activities with the Cyber Range team


What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 0 to 2 years related experience
  • Software development using Python, Java, C++
  • Ability to learn, adapt, develop, test, and troubleshoot at all application and operating system layers
  • Proficiency with Linux and command line environments (Ubuntu, Red Hat, Rocky)
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware, KVM, Proxmox)
  • Excellent written and verbal skills to communicate with technical team members, managers and customers
  • Experience writing unit tests and performing system integration testing
  • U.S. citizenship is required


What Desired Skills You'll Bring
  • Proficient in analyzing performance issues and testing efficiency improvements
  • Familiarity of networking concepts and protocols at all layers of the OSI model
  • Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK Framework and Cyber Security concepts

Salary Range: $63,600.00 - $111,300.00
