Position Summary:Work alongside company's general counsel to provide legal services to the company. Ensure all company policies conform to relevant legal standards. Review and negotiate contracts. Help manage and direct outside counsel. Manage discovery efforts in litigated cases.
Position Responsibilities:- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts involving all aspects of Oatey's business, including contracts with customers and suppliers.
- Assist general counsel with advising internal stakeholders on a variety of legal matters, including those related to employment, product liability, environmental, customs, intellectual property, and insurance.
- Assist, as needed, with conducting due diligence and generally supporting M&A activities.
- Manage internal discovery efforts on select cases. Work with internal stakeholders to identify and produce relevant documents. Review same.
- Oversee company's product liability caseload.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Knowledge and Experience:- 0-2 years In-house corporate law department
- 0-2 years Law firm experience
- 2-5 years In-house corporate legal department, with a manufacturer.
- Advanced Microsoft Word advanced skills
- Basic Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Pacer system skills.
- Intermediate Legal Research Tools (e.g., Westlaw, Practice Point)
Education and Certification:- Juris Doctor required
- Admitted to Ohio Bar, or the Bar of another state in which Oatey operates.

Compensation Range for the Position:$144,071.00 - $190,894.50 - $237,718.00 USD
Target Cash Profit Sharing for the Position:18.00%
