Turner & Townsend is hiring an Associate Cost Consultant to play a critical role in supporting the planning, management, and delivery of cost-effective solutions for a key client's construction projects related to the expansion of energy storage facilities. The Associate Cost Consultant will work closely with the project management team, client stakeholders, and construction professionals to ensure the cost elements of the projects align with budgetary requirements and overall project goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain detailed cost estimates for the construction of energy storage facilities.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of budget proposals and cost plans.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and other project documents to prepare accurate cost projections.
  • Monitor and control project costs, ensuring financial targets are met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Track and report on cost variances, suggesting corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare and review financial reports, including expenditure forecasts and cash flow analysis.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and other consultants to ensure that cost considerations are incorporated into design and project planning.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and contractors to obtain accurate pricing and value analysis.
  • Participate in regular project meetings, providing insights and updates on cost-related matters.
  • Identify and assess potential financial risks related to construction activities.
  • Develop risk management strategies to mitigate potential budget impacts.
  • Ensure all cost management activities comply with industry regulations, company standards, and client requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of cost documentation for auditing and reporting purposes.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Understanding of construction processes, procurement strategies, and industry best practices.
  • Familiarity with sustainability practices and energy storage technologies is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of contract types and management (e.g., lump-sum, cost-plus, time & materials).
  • Ability to perform value engineering and suggest cost-saving solutions without compromising quality.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.


Additional Information

*On-site presence and requirements may change depending on our client's needs.

The base salary range for this role is $95K-$110K. This range reflects the company's good faith estimate of the base salary for this position at the time of the posting. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, employees may be eligible for bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
