Associate - Disputes (Construction)The candidate will have an opportunity to join Canada's largest construction law group and work along side professionals recognized for their extensive and in-depth industry experience.
We are looking forThe ideal candidate will have a minimum 4 - 6 years experience in construction and infrastructure law, be a team player, take great pride in their work, and have strong analytical, personal, oral and written communication skills.
This role will offer the successful candidate the following opportunities:
- Acting on behalf of sureties, owners, contractors, subcontractors in disputes arising from public and private construction and infrastructure projects.
- Advising sureties on multi-project and large-scale defaults and insolvencies, working collaboratively with lawyers across multiple practice areas.
- Drafting, advising and negotiating contracts for procurement and construction.
- Advising on a broad range of construction issues such as breach of contract, breach of trust and construction liens.
- Being a team member of a busy national construction group.
