Associate Category Manager

Location: Connecticut, USA

Salary: $110,000 - $120,000 (Based on experience)

Contract: Permanent

The Associate Category Manager (Toddler Feeding) plays a key role in shaping one of Mayborn's most strategically important growth categories. Supporting the

VP of Category Strategy and Trade Execution, this role transforms data into insights, identifies opportunities to strengthen competitiveness, and helps deliver category strategies across retail, eCommerce, and global platforms.

This individual will partner closely with Global Category, Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to build compelling category stories, guide innovation needs, and influence pricing, promotion, assortment, and digital shelf execution. Ideal for someone who is curious, analytical, and eager to deepen their commercial leadership capabilities within a fast-paced, values-driven organization.

What you will be doing:
  • Support the development and execution of the Toddler Feeding category strategy across channels and customers.
  • Analyse category, consumer, shopper, and competitive trends to identify opportunities and guide commercial actions.
  • Collaborate with Global Category and Product teams on innovation, EPD, packaging, and deco/colour updates.
  • Participate in developing the category's innovation roadmap and long-range plan.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to create selling stories, retailer presentations, and performance recaps.
  • Monitor category performance and provide actionable insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Track competitor launches, pricing, promotions, digital shelf presence, and in-store execution.
  • Contribute to monthly Category Performance Reviews and cross-functional business updates.
  • Support SKU matrix development, business cases, and commercial readiness for innovation and EPD launches.
  • Drive strong cross-functional collaboration in support of Mayborn's vision and values.
  • Build compelling rationale to support commercial and marketing teams enabling collaboration with buyers and merchandisers to expand product categories
  • Primary point of contact for global category team counterparts, preparation of business cases, scoping documents and sku matrix


What skills and experiences you'll need to ace this job:
  • Proven experience in category management, insights, trade marketing, or product marketing in CPG.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with syndicated data (Circana/IRI/Nielsen).
  • Ability to translate data into insights and clear business recommendations.
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills; comfort building presentations and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Curious, proactive, and adaptable team player who thrives in a dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of baby, feeding, or adjacent categories a benefit but not required.
  • Knowledge of baby industry a plus
