Position Overview

The Role

Apollo Capital Solutions ("ACS") partners with investment teams and clients across the Apollo platform on origination, capital markets, and syndication activity. The centralized team is designed to support seamless and effective execution on behalf of our clients and counterparties, whether corporate issuers, sponsors, investors, or large financial institutions, including banks and insurers.

Within ACS, the team is seeking a highly motivated Associate to join the DCM team, focused on covering the Apollo Equity funds (Private Equity, Hybrid Value Fund and Climate). In this role, the Associate will take on ownership of debt financing execution, pipeline and process management, and interfacing directly with deal teams, financing counterparties, and key internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings meaningful deal experience, strong analytical capabilities, and a desire to help build and scale a best-in-class capital markets platform.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage transaction pipelines end-to-end, providing regular reporting and updates to senior leadership and external counterparties
  • Own the preparation and review of underwriting memos, credit briefings, and approval documentation across a broad range of transactions
  • Drive the screening and underwriting process for leveraged finance and private credit transactions, including LBOs, leveraged loans, high yield bonds, and asset-backed financings
  • Prepare and oversee portfolio performance reporting for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Conduct advanced capital markets analysis and maintain and enhance databases across leveraged loan, high yield, LBO, and private credit markets
  • Manage and deepen bank relationship coverage, acting as a primary point of contact for select counterparties
  • Lead or contribute to ad hoc strategic projects and initiatives across the ACS platform

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field required
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, specifically within capital markets, leveraged finance, or sponsors coverage, or other capital markets roles
  • FINRA licenses (Series 7, 63, and 79) preferred
  • Strong command of financial markets and credit fundamentals, with demonstrated experience across the full deal lifecycle
  • Hands-on underwriting experience in leveraged financing transactions, with working knowledge across the capital structure (including securitizations and asset-backed financing)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously with excellent attention to detail and organizational discipline
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to distill complex information into clear, concise materials for senior stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to interface across business lines, seniority levels, and external counterparties
  • Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Bloomberg
