About this roleRole Description:Analytics Product is actively seeking a New York based associate to serve as a security analytics subject matter expert as well as an owner of analytics as a product to develop impactful fit for purpose and enterprise grade solutions for Aladdin clients across regions and industries. The person will work closely with colleagues from the Aladdin Client Business, Aladdin Financial Engineering and rest of Aladdin Product teams to evolve our analytics capabilities across single security analytics areas.
Overview of Responsibility:- Enhance BlackRock's Aladdin platform with new security analytics, models, and processes in response to market demands and industry events such as credit expansion, regulatory regime changes etc.
- Understand rapidly evolving markets & stakeholder needs to influence analytics roadmap
- Participate in firm-wide initiatives for enhancing analytics and strategic partner relationships
- Address industry challenges and showcase Aladdin's capabilities by developing customized fit-for-purpose solutions and analyses for targeted client and prospective client use cases
- Draw upon deep subject matter expertise and thought leadership to drive client engagement and provide support during pre-sale and implementation processes
- Provide guidance on sophisticated analytics inquiries to clients and partners across Client Business, Client Services, and Analytics Production teams
Experience/Qualifications/Skills:Candidates should have a demonstrated track record in tackling difficult real-world problems within investment & risk management businesses. The candidate will be expected to leverage extensive quantitative skills to lead complex security analytics projects in an endeavor to evolve the analytics platform within Aladdin. Furthermore, all positions require outstanding quantitative, communication, and presentation skills.
Experience- 3 - 5 years of experience in a highly analytical role developing, deploying, or using financial models.
- Familiarity with advanced analytics, including options valuation, fixed income valuation techniques, interest rate modelling, and advanced credit analysis. Experience in cash flow modeling is desired
- Demonstrated success in project management with a diverse and demanding client base
- Detail-oriented, organized, and committed while leading multiple projects
- Project management expertise with demonstrated ability to lead ambiguous cross-functional initiatives.
- Pro-activeness, ability to multi-task, prioritize, set and meet deadlines, and strong attention to detail
Qualifications- Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Business Management or some other quantitative field of study.
- Acquired technical aptitude includes experience in Linux, SQL, and scripting platforms
- Programming language skills are advantageous (e.g. Python, advanced excel etc.)
Skills:- Excellent quantitative and analytics skills. Ability to identify problems, design and articulate solutions, and implement change
- Excellent understanding financial markets and ability to comprehend the impact of market events
- Strone project management skills. Ability to prioritize deliverables/ inquiries when multi-tasking, structure multiple communication streams and manage workflows
- Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical personnel
- Superb Interpersonal Skills: You will be expected to explain complex concepts to non-technical people in simple, intuitive terms
For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$137,500.00 - USD$170,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
