Full Job Description
Provides assistance and assumes limited responsibility for the design, development and/or implementation of engineering products, methods and processes of a technical nature. May conduct basic and applied research to evaluate materials and equipment for applicability in design and manufacture. May recommend improvements in testing equipment and techniques.
  • Assist in the design, development and implementation of engineering processes, methods and products
  • Assist in developing written documentation to include engineering drawings, engineering standards, engineering specifications, technical proposals, technical manuals, test reports, technical reports, disclosures and scientific discoveries
  • Define and analyze technical requirements of the assigned engineering tasks
  • Plan and organize the responsibilities of the job with appropriate guidance
  • Gain understanding of the infrastructure and impact of your process on the product as a whole
  • Develop an individual awareness of the economics of business, competition and customer satisfaction, in order to reduce costs and improve schedule/cycle time within the group
  • Maintain engineering skills consistent with advances in technology
  • Provide technical leadership for lower coded personnel
  • Assist in the application of scientific principles, tools and techniques to achieve practical end results. Tools are objective in nature utilizing quantitative or analytical techniques
  • Works under supervision and technical oversight on projects or subsystems of a technical nature
  • Works as part of integrated product teams with other cross functional professional employees in the execution of engineering functions
  • Works independently on small projects or assists on large complex projects of a technical nature
  • Receives guidance from, and interfaces with, peers, senior engineers and other professional employees in the execution of engineering functions
  • Modifies and upgrades mathematical models to predict design performance
  • Uses commercial and proprietary simulation tools in developing and evaluating designs
  • Acquires information from all relevant sources, including industry and governments standards, handbooks, textbooks and reference manuals
  • Develops knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
  • Follows industry and internal design guidelines and methodologies
  • Assists in the analysis of information and evaluation of results to choose the best solution and solve problems
  • Support internal and customer design reviews
  • Assists in research and analysis of technical issues to develop solutions to meet design objectives
  • Works to complete tasks within cost and schedule constraints
  • Provide feedback and make recommendations to improve designs and reduce cost and/or schedule
  • Support multiple assignments on different design product teams
  • Use the infrastructure to accomplish objectives
  • Support production, testing and field operations in improving designs

Experience Requirement: No previous experience necessary in addition to degree.

In compliance with state and local laws, the salary range for this role is $80,000-$100,000. The range provided is a general guideline and good faith estimate representative of all experience levels but is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. TCOM considers several factors when extending an offer including, but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, a candidate's experience, education/training, key skills, internal equity, and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
