How will you fit in the big picture?

The Associate Manager Functional Shelf role independently leads analytical projects or workstreams that span multiple teams or functions. It applies intermediate practical expertise to analyze complex datasets, interpret market, consumer, and shopper trends, and translate findings into clear recommendations. The role shapes how stakeholders understand performance drivers, tradeoffs, and opportunities, balancing speed, accuracy, and interpretability while operating with limited supervision.

What will you do?

  • Lead Analytics Workstreams That Span Multiple Teams This responsibility involves scoping, planning, and executing analyses that require input from different functions or data sources. It coordinates requirements, timelines, and outputs to keep workstreams aligned and on track. Effective leadership of these efforts improves the quality and impact of cross-functional decision-making.
  • Design and Enhance Dashboards for Broader Business Use This responsibility focuses on creating and refining dashboards that serve multiple stakeholder groups with varying needs. It selects appropriate visualizations, builds flexible filtering, and ensures definitions are aligned across teams. Well-structured dashboards help standardize how performance is viewed and discussed.
  • Interpret Complex Data Sets and Provide Clear Recommendations This responsibility includes applying statistical and analytical techniques to identify relationships, drivers, and opportunities in complex datasets, including consumer, shopper, and market data where relevant. It synthesizes findings into concise narratives that highlight implications and suggested actions. Clear recommendations support more decisive and targeted business responses.
  • Collaborate Across Functions to Align on KPIs and Definitions This responsibility entails working with partners to harmonize key metrics, business rules, and reporting standards. It facilitates discussions to resolve discrepancies and documents agreed definitions. Consistent KPIs enable more accurate performance comparisons and reduce confusion in business reviews.
  • Support Continuous Improvement of Data and Analytics Capabilities This responsibility involves identifying enhancements to data structures, reporting tools, or analytical methods based on recurring needs. It pilots improvements, gathers feedback, and shares results with the broader analytics community. Continuous improvement efforts help the organization evolve its analytics maturity over time.


Minimum Education & Requirements

Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in consumer insights, market research, data analysis, or related fields within a business context is required.
  • Strong proficiency with data visualization tools, business intelligence platforms, and advanced analytical techniques is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills are critical for articulating complex insights clearly and persuasively. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing multifaceted projects will be advantageous.

Education:
  • A Bachelor's degree is essential, preferably in Consumer Research, Market Research, Quantitative Analysis, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Marketing, Management, or a related discipline.
