Associate Manager, Marketplace (Digital Commerce & Pricing)

Work Model: Onsite, Framingham, MA

Role Summary

The Associate Manager, Marketplace (Digital Commerce & Pricing) supports and optimizes performance across key marketplace channels. This role is responsible for contributing to revenue growth, improving conversion, and supporting profitability through marketplace execution-including listing optimization and operational pricing decisions. You will operate with autonomy within defined objectives, partnering cross-functionally to enhance processes, tools, and marketplace performance.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Support and optimize performance across marketplace channels, focusing on
    revenue growth, conversion improvement, and profitability metrics.
  • Monitor competitive dynamics, assortment gaps, and marketplace trends to inform day-to-day execution and recommendations.
  • Execute marketplace activities including promotions, assortment updates, and merchandising improvements.
  • Support implementation of pricing and promotional strategies to remain competitive while protecting margin.
  • Analyze marketplace performance data (traffic, conversion, pricing, sales) to identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Partner with Product, Merchandising, and Supply Chain teams to support assortment and inventory alignment.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing and Finance to support business performance and planning.
  • Track and report on KPIs (revenue, conversion, Buy Box performance, margin, pricing competitiveness).
  • Support adoption of marketplace best practices, tools, and reporting processes.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to improve marketplace execution, workflows, and performance.
  • May provide guidance, training, and day-to-day support to junior team members or cross-functional partners. Acts as a subject matter resource for marketplace execution and pricing practices within the team.

What's Needed - Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in eCommerce, marketplace operations, digital commerce, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of digital commerce fundamentals, including content, conversion optimization, and merchandising.
  • Experience supporting or managing marketplace channels (Amazon, Walmart, or similar).
  • Experience with product listings, digital merchandising, or marketplace operations.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to support business decisions (Excel, BI tools, etc.)

What's Needed - Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to pricing strategy, promotions, or competitive pricing in a marketplace environment (1-3 years preferred).
  • Experience working with key marketplace performance metrics (revenue, conversion, margin).
  • Background in retail, consumer goods, marketplaces, or high-SKU environments.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar analytics platforms.
  • Experience working in cross-functional, matrixed environments.
  • Preferred candidates will bring additional expertise in pricing and performance analytics, supporting ongoing marketplace innovation.
