Description

Develop and guide a strong Leadership team and team atmosphere within the TCW Companies, that demonstrates a strong and unwavering commitment to safety, including the ability to prioritize and support safety throughout the organization while maintaining the integrity of the TCW safety initiatives and programs while maintaining a strong commitment to customer service and ethical conduct by working closely with customers and the TCW Marketing and Sales team resulting in an organizational structure and bottom line that are vibrant / robust. As within most small companies, this role will cover a broad array of responsibilities.

1. Operational Leadership
  • Provide oversight of all operational leadership positions within the TCW Companies.
  • Establish performance goals, objectives, metrics, and accountability measures that align departmental activities with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Serve as the liaison between the leadership team and the Vice President of Operations.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to department leaders.
  • Foster a professional, respectful, positive, and trust-based team environment.
2. Support the Vice President of Operations
  • Lead the company's strategic planning process.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain initiatives that promote employee morale and teamwork.
  • Serve as an active, trusted member of the executive leadership team.
3. Organizational Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry requirements, including PTC, EEOC, FRA, GCOR, ACA, and other applicable standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies that strengthen collaboration among all crafts and departments.
  • Ensure responsible financial management and expense control throughout the TCW Companies.
  • Represent TCW professionally when working with customers, vendors, government agencies, and public officials.
  • Direct the development, implementation, and administration of railroad operating procedures, maintenance programs, continuous improvement initiatives, and business objectives.
4. Board of Directors
  • Serve as the operations representative at Board of Directors meetings.
