This Opportunity

WSP USA is currently initiating a search for a Senior Technical Manager, Assistant Vice President, Civil Engineering to join our growing Northeast Civil Transportation team. The position is available in both our New York City and Valhalla, NY offices.

The successful candidate will bring strong experience delivering NYC public-infrastructure and transportation projects, including work with the Port Authority of NY & NJ, MTA, NYSTA, NYSDOT, NYCDOT, NYCDDC, NYCDPR, NYCEDC, and related agencies.

Your Impact
• Lead and contribute to the design of NYC-based transportation projects, including Highway Design, Urban Street Design, Transit Infrastructure & Facilities, Transmission Utilities & Services, .
• Lead a team of civil engineers, providing technical guidance and supervision, ensuring the delivery of project documents in accordance with the project schedule.
• Interface with clients, project management, disciplines leads and other consultants as the Civil Project Lead.
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and permitting packages for local transportation and infrastructure agencies.
• Conduct quality reviews of work produced by junior and mid-level engineers.
• Manage task assignments, project components, and budgets on small- to mid-size civil engineering projects.
• Support coordination among internal disciplines and external stakeholders.
• Present technical solutions and recommendations to NYC based public clients.
• Provide technical input on proposals, scopes, and pursuit strategies.
• Mentor junior engineers and share NYC-specific civil best practices.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 10+ years of civil engineering experience with substantial NYC public-infrastructure design.
• Experience delivering projects for New York public agencies including but not limited to the MTA, NYSDOT, NYCDOT, NYCDDC and Port Authority of NY & NJ.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D, Bentley MicroStation, Bentley OpenRoads Designer.
• Ability to manage portions of projects and maintain high-quality deliverables.
• Professional Engineer license in New York required.• Prior experience mentoring engineering staff.
• Prior experience presenting solutions to NYC agencies.

Preferred Qualifications
• Prior Project Management experience.

Compensation:
Expected Salary (all locations): $ 138,000.00- $ 195,000.00

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
