Job SummaryUnder the direction of the Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendent, Curriculum, Instruction & Title I School Improvement provides intensive instructional leadership to accelerate academic achievement in Title I schools.
The position leads the implementation and continuous improvement of standards-aligned literacy and mathematics instruction; provides job-embedded professional development and coaching to teachers and administrators; conducts frequent classroom learning walks; strengthens principals' capacity as instructional leaders; establishes coherent assessment intervention, progress-monitoring systems; and coordinates evidence-based school improvement strategies responsive to identified student needs.
