Job DescriptionBrief Overview:
The Assistant Superintendents role is to assist the Superintendent in managing all field construction of the Project. The Assistant Superintendent is part of the field team responsible for all aspects of the Projects budget, schedule, safety and performance.
Responsibilities:- Working with the Site Superintendent and Project Manager, implements the safety program and maintains safety and record-keeping requirements.
- Supervises, directs, coaches, trains, and mentors the project field team, including direct and indirect reports.
- Effectively communicates with CCM team and trades and ensures that performance, productivity, quality, and safety requirements are met.
- Consistently collaborates with Superintendent, Project Manager, and project team.
- Consults and advises Site Superintendent and/or Project Manager of potential problems, work interferences, schedule difficulties, etc.
- Liaises with field and project teams to ensure construction complies with drawings and specifications.
- Monitors and executes the project construction plan and schedule.
- Reviews and understands the contract and subcontracts, including understanding risk and risk mitigation plans.
- Maintains project administration correspondence and complies with documentation requirements.
- Develops and maintains strong customer focused relationships with all stakeholders.
QualificationsRequired:- Post-secondary school degree or diploma in a construction related area of study.
- Minimum of five (5) years of direct work experience working in high-rise / ICI construction.
- Previous experience overseeing construction worksites would be considered an asset.
- Current and up to date Health & Safety certifications
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- A solid understanding of construction trades and construction techniques.
- Effectiveness in the areas of construction safety and productivity.
- Knowledge of local, provincial, and federal workplace compliance regulations, and legislation in relation to the construction industry, specifically high-rise residential / ICI construction.
- Knowledge of OH&S regulations and related building codes.

Compensation:The estimated starting salary range for this role is $90,000 - $120,000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
