Position Overview Mercedes-Benz Langley is currently looking to fill the position of
Assistant Service Manager. Reporting to the Service Manager, this role supports the day-to-day operations of the Service Department and contributes to delivering a consistently high level of customer satisfaction.
The Assistant Service Manager plays an important role in supporting Service Advisors, assisting with operational oversight, ensuring service processes are followed, and helping to resolve customer concerns. This position works closely with customers, technicians, and dealership leadership to support efficient service operations and a positive service experience.
The expected annual salary for this position is $110,000.00 - $130,000.00. Primary Duties and Responsibilities • Assist the Service Manager with the daily operations of the Service Department
• Support Service Advisors in managing customer interactions, appointments, and follow-up communication
• Assist customers with service reminders, appointment scheduling, recall notifications, and service visit follow-ups
• Help ensure high-quality service and repairs are delivered to customers
• Handle escalated customer concerns or complaints in a professional and timely manner
• Maintain accurate service records and reporting in accordance with manufacturer and dealership requirements
• Support adherence to dealership processes, standards, and operational procedures
• Work collaboratively with technicians and other departments to promote efficient workflow
• Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and customer-focused service environment
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the Service Department
• Perform other duties as assigned to support service operations
Qualifications Required Experience & Knowledge • Minimum 5 years of combined experience in an automotive service environment (e.g., Service Advisor, Technician, Shop Foreperson, or related role)
General understanding of vehicle mechanics and service operations
Skills & Abilities • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision
• Effective administrative and time-management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with dealership teams
• Legally entitled to work in Canada
