Brailsford & Dunlavey (B&D), which now includes Project Management Advisors (PMA), is seeking an Assistant Project Manager & Leasing Coordinator to join our Life Sciences team in San Francisco

This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, CA.

The Opportunity

An opportunity for a highly organized and proactive real estate professional who enjoys working in fast-paced environments, collaborating with brokers, clients, and project teams, and supporting the delivery of complex life sciences leasing, development, and construction projects.

Our Life Sciences team supports the development, leasing, and delivery of laboratory, research, and biotech facilities across the country. We work closely with owners, developers, tenants, brokers, and project teams to deliver technically complex environments that support innovation and scientific discovery.

As an Assistant Project Manager & Leasing Coordinator, you will support both leasing and project management efforts by coordinating pre-lease activities, managing critical project documentation, assisting with design and construction planning, and serving as a key point of coordination among clients, brokers, consultants, and project stakeholders.
How You'll Contribute
  • Support life sciences leasing and project management initiatives from early-stage planning through project completion
  • Collaborate with clients, brokers, consultants, and project teams to facilitate successful leasing and development efforts
  • Maintain organized deal files, including proposals, RFPs, lease documentation, drawings, budgets, schedules, and due diligence materials
  • Gather, organize, and maintain critical building documentation, including BOMA reports, building system matrices, as-built drawings, utility information, and other property records
  • Assist with project-specific tasks required to meet client expectations and contractual obligations
  • Support planning and analysis of conceptual design issues, space planning efforts, and pre-construction activities
  • Assist with test fits, programming exercises, block plans, and preliminary tenant space planning requirements
  • Review and coordinate lease documentation, consultant agreements, and related transaction materials
  • Support lease negotiations and transaction processes by coordinating information and documentation between stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain project budgets and milestone schedules, while identifying and communicating potential risks or changes
  • Coordinate meetings, site walks, and stakeholder engagement activities involving clients, brokers, architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants
  • Document project meetings, maintain action item logs, and track follow-up items through completion
  • Assist with project closeout activities and documentation management
  • Communicate critical project information to stakeholders in a timely, professional, and organized manner
What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years of experience in project management, real estate development, leasing, brokerage, construction, or related fields
  • Experience working with commercial real estate brokerage firms, leasing teams, or life sciences projects is a plus
  • Accounting, financial analysis, or budgeting experience is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, Real Estate Development, Real Estate Finance, or a related field
  • Familiarity with real estate terminology, leasing concepts, and development processes
  • Working knowledge of real estate financial metrics, including pro formas, project budgets, and financial analysis
  • Understanding of lease negotiations, lease review processes, and leasing strategies
  • Basic understanding of architectural drawings, space planning, and programming concepts
  • Ability to develop and maintain project budgets and schedules while managing multiple priorities
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage large volumes of documentation and information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders

This role's target base annual salary range is currently $70,000-110,000. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors unique to each candidate, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, relevant education, experience, certifications, candidate abilities, and pay relative to other team members.
