Full Job Description
We are currently hiring an Assistant Project Manager to be located in Anaheim, CA. This opportunity will have you working within our Education project sector. The Education team is a prime consultant to multiple school districts in the country and provides services to K-12 as well as higher education institutions nationally. You will be teaming with project, program, and client leadership to provide premier educational facilities for our nation's youth and adults seeking to better themselves through learning.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assist the project management team with various parts of the project such as constructability review, value engineering, pay app reviews, schedule development, FF&E program development and execution.
  • Assist in formulating the design, bid, and project phase of scheduling.
  • Assist in the Addenda and Bid process.
  • Under supervision of Project Manager, conduct pre-bid and job start meetings.
  • Monitor contract compliance and report concerns to Project Manager.
  • Under the supervision of Project Manager, facilitate job site meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
  • Oversee approvals from applicable government agencies are received and documented.
  • Under supervision of Project Manager, conduct close out activities and assist with building occupancy.
  • Prepares field reporting for review by Project Manager.
  • Perform QA/QC process.
  • Review change orders for completeness and conformance to company and client standards.
  • Review RFIs/Submittals for completeness before distribution to design team.
  • Provide basic CPM scheduling and budget management.
  • Review and maintain As Built drawings.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or related field is required.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Project Management, engineering, or construction management.
  • Prior experience supporting educational facility projects and/or public works projects.
  • Experience with the Division of State Architect (DSA) construction/design processes.

The salary range for this full-time role is $106,800.00-$142,400.02 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.
