Binnie is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our Project Delivery - Transportation and Transit Division full-time in our Burnaby office. While based out of Burnaby, this position also offers a hybrid work environment.

Our Project Delivery - Transportation and Transit Division manages client's transportation projects. All our Project Managers work within the guidelines of the Project Management Institute. We have supported many of them in getting their PMP designation. We're looking for someone to take on this challenging role and take advantage of our mentorship opportunities.

You will play a key role in a talented and diverse team of Project Managers at varied experience levels. You will work with our experienced Project Managers assisting in providing planning, direction, and reporting to meet the specific project needs of our clients.

YOUR ROLE:
  • Managing project documentation and files
  • Coordinating communication between contractors, stakeholders and clients
  • Scheduling project meetings, preparing meeting minutes and distributing minutes
  • Assisting with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating resources
  • Serving as the point of contact for clients and supporting Project Managers in resolving issues
  • Monitoring project costs and preparing estimates
  • Ensuring work meets Binnie's quality standards and client expectations
  • Performing site reviews
  • Assisting Project Managers with proposals
  • Integrating into client reporting systems and project teams to support overall delivery of projects
  • Assisting Project Managers with delivering work packages associated with the project
  • Tracking tasks, deadlines and deliverables


WHAT YOU BRING:
  • A minimum of 2 years of previous related work experience in a civil engineering environment with direct exposure to Project Management or owners' representation services
  • Experience in transportation or transit systems is a plus
  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Urban Planning, Project Management, Construction Technology, Public Administration, or related fieldCAPM Certification is an asset
  • Registration as an EIT or P.Eng. with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC) or a GradTech with ASTTBC is an asset
  • Valid Driver's License and personal vehicle
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Construction experiences an asset
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills
  • Proactive and takes action to resolve client issues

The salary for this position is commensurate with experience; the salary range for this position is $67,450- $117,000 annually. The final salary for this role may vary based on several factors, including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
