The Communication Division of the Seaver College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences at Pepperdine University invites applications for a Tenure-Track faculty position in Sport Administration to begin August 1, 2027. Applicants must have completed a Ph.D. in Sport Management, Sport Administration, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher education by the August 1, 2027, date of appointment.

The successful candidate will teach courses at the undergraduate level in Sport Administration, including: Sport Event and Facility Management, Sport Finance, Sport Analytics, and other required courses as needed. In these courses, the successful candidate will blend theory with practice, preparing students to successfully enter professions in the sport industry upon graduation. We seek a professor who can excite students with real-world examples, timely case studies, and innovative learning experiences that enable students to apply theory to relevant problems. Documented teaching experience and research interest in the area of Sport Administration, along with professional experience in the areas of Sport Event and Facility Management, Sport Finance and/or Sport Analytics, is strongly preferred.

The successful candidate will mentor and advise undergraduate Sport Administration students academically and professionally. Faculty in the department may be called on to assist in advising the Sport Administration student association, assist with curriculum assessment and design, and oversee the curriculum component of student internships. A demonstrated history and passion for developing sport industry opportunities for students inside and outside of the classroom is strongly prioritized.

Pepperdine's undergraduate Seaver College is a residential liberal arts college of approximately 3,500 students situated in Malibu, California. The salary range for this appointment is $91,527 - $97,701 per year, and reflects what Pepperdine University reasonably expects to pay for this faculty appointment. Actual salary may vary based on the qualifications and experience of the applicant, as well as market conditions. In addition to salary, Pepperdine offers a robust suite of employee benefits.
