Description
The Economics Department at Lafayette College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Finance beginning July 1, 2027. Applicants should be committed to excellence in both undergraduate teaching and scholarly research. We are interested in candidates with teaching and research interests in finance, financial economics, or related areas. The successful candidate must be able to teach undergraduate corporate finance, with opportunities to offer additional courses connected to their expertise in such areas as financial institutions, entrepreneurial finance, risk management, financial analytics, financial modeling, fintech, or the application of emerging technologies to financial decision-making. The addition of courses in these areas along with access to financial databases through Bloomberg and WRDS will enhance our robust finance minor curriculum. The teaching load for this position is 4 courses in the first year and 5 courses thereafter. The college provides a paid pre-tenure research leave, mentoring, and research support.
Qualifications
Applicants should hold a PhD or a DBA in Economics/Management/Finance or expect to complete all requirements by August 15, 2027.
