University of Colorado AnschutzDepartment: Pediatric - Child NeurologyJob Title: Assistant Professor of Clinical PracticeJob Summary:This position will provide clinical care for patients with general neurological disorders, primarily in the outpatient and inpatient setting. The position will include clinical service and teaching. Clinical responsibilities may include participation in the outpatient general neurology clinic, inpatient consults, EEG interpretation, and call at sites including, but not limited to, Children's Hospital Colorado Anschutz. The position will include participation in specialty headache clinics, procedure clinics, biofeedback clinics, and multidisciplinary headache and dysautonomia clinics as part of the pediatric headache care team.
Key Responsibilities:
- On-going follow-up care both in clinic and by phone, for neurology patients.
- Participation in hospital coverage service initiatives which may include inpatient consults and call.
- Participation in regional outreach clinics.
- Collaboration of patient care with staff neurologists as appropriate.
- Teaching clinical care concepts to NPs, PAs, Residents and RNs.
- Your duties in this faculty position will include teaching, clinical, scholarly and service responsibilities.
Work Location:Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado.

This is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice position based on experience and qualifications as indicated below:
Assistant Professor:• Eligibility in Neurology with a Special Competence in Child Neurology
• 0-6 years of clinical experience, interest in pursuing academic Promotion
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
• DEA certificate
• Ability to obtain Colorado State Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner License
Condition of Employment:• Must successfully pass a drug test through Children's Hospital Colorado
• Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications:• Previous work experience in a Child Neurology practice: Private or Academic
• Previous experience performing work in quality improvement projects in Child Neurology.
• Previous teaching experience

HIRING RANGE:$135,000 to $137,000
