The AACSB accredited Department of Business Administration at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Fredonia invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in Business Administration at the Assistant Professor level beginning from the fall semester of 2025. This position is pending final administrative approval. This position is reporting to the department chair.
Annual Salary: $90,000 - $ 100,000
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - The teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester. Based on performance, 3 credit hours per semester of release time can be granted;
- Candidates should be able to teach in traditional classrooms, hybrid, and online modalities;
- Specific teaching assignments include strategic management plus other possible management courses such as introduction to business, human resource management, entrepreneurship, organizational behavior, business consulting, and others based on the instructor's expertise and on the departmental needs;
- Candidates should have a research agenda that complements their area of academic specialty resulting in peer-reviewed publications and presentations to maintain their qualifications as a Scholarly Academic (SA) as per the School of Business' faculty qualifications guidelines;
- Service includes advising students, mentoring the student clubs, contributing to curriculum development/refinement, and serving on various committees.
Requirements: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES - Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills;
- Ability to teach a variety of courses and maintain an active research agenda;
- Enthusiasm for participating in student-centered service activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - A doctorate (PhD) degree from an AACSB accredited program (ABDs will be considered but must complete their doctorate by August 2025);
- Provide evidence of competence in teaching (as a lecturer, teaching assistant, etc);
- Provide evidence of an active scholarly research agenda as a Scholarly Academic defined by AACSB;
- Demonstrate commitment and ability to work with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff and constituents in support of campus and department missions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Expertise, teaching experience, and/or related working experiences/research in strategy, management, and entrepreneurship;
- Knowledgeable in the fields of business/data analytics and/or artificial intelligence (AI);
- Peer-reviewed publications as a Scholarly Academic (SA) defined by AACSB.
Additional Information: This is a full-time, term appointed, tenure-track position beginning Fall 2025.
This position is eligible for visa sponsorship and the pay range is $90,000 - $100,000, commensurate with experience.
