POSITION SUMMARY:

Assists the principal of the school in providing leadership and guidance in the effective organization and operations the school; manages the curriculum and instructional program (including CTAE) as assigned, and maintaining a safe, orderly environment that support student success. This position reports to the Principal.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assumes responsibility for carrying out the duties of the principal during his/her absence; provides leadership and accountability in working with all school stakeholders including teachers, parents, support personnel, students etc. Conducts faculty meetings, assemblies, volunteer programs, and other activities.

Oversees regulations affecting students, academic performance, discipline, and counsel with students as needed.

Participates in staff selection, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions as assigned.
Attends meetings, workshops, training and extracurricular activities.

Prepares reports regarding attendance, test scores, personnel, government projects and other data.

Reviews student/parent requests or problems and appropriately addresses them.

Serves on district-wide task forces and committees All other duties, as assigned and required, in order to perform the above services.

KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Master's degree required.

Minimum of three (3) years successful teaching experience required.

Standard Professional Educational Leadership - Tier I certificate or a Standard or Performance-Based Professional Educational Leadership - Tier II certificate and completion or exemption of all applicable Special Georgia Requirements at the time of application.

NOTE: This is a Grade 28E, 225-day position with a salary range of $75,720 - $116,315. Final salary placement within this range is determined based on individual credentials, years of relevant experience, and the guidelines outlined in the CCPS Compensation Handbook found here.
